About OCSC

MISSION STATEMENT AND VISION

The Community Support Services sector in the City of Ottawa will provide an efficient, accountable, consistent and coordinated range of community support services to meet the needs of individuals living in their community.

This goal will be achieved through collaboration amongst providers, alignment of governance and management, and an aim to continuously improve services.

BACKGROUND:

The Ottawa Community Support Coalition has been working collaboratively for many years. In the past couple of years, with the encouragement and support of our funders, the Coalition has been exploring how to work together more closely.

The Ottawa Community Support Coalition consists of 19 organizations mandated to provide home-based community support services to seniors and adults with physical disabilities. These agencies provide an efficient, accountable, consistent and coordinated range of community support services designed to meet the needs of individuals living in their community. The range of services offered by these agencies includes Meals on Wheels, Diners Club, Transportation, Friendly Home Visiting, Caregiver Support, Foot Care and Homemaking.
